OBIEE Configuration Wizard

I am trying to install OBIEE 12c on my laptop. Here is what I have installed on my laptop so far.
Oracle 12c DB
Fusion Middleware Infrastructure 12c
OBIEE 12c
Configured RCU and created all the schemas including DEV_BIPLATFORM successfully
Configuration - Here is where I am stuck. I give in all the details and I get to the last but one step ....8 of 9 Step and it fails at creating Essbase.
i even tried to skip to next part by unchecking the Essbase option on the first step of this configuration but still didnt work as it failed in the next step after Essbase.
I looked up online and I have seen many of them posted that adding this the WLST script would fix it -Djava.security.egd=file:///dev/urandom.
But unfortunately, I am trying to install on Windows and that command is for Linux installation.
Please help me complete the configuration. I feel I have spent a lot of time on this.

Look at @Christian Berg‘s blog post. This will have all sorts of issues if you’re installing on a client OS. It needs to be on a Server OS.

Why do IT professionals not read the manual and certification matrix? No wonder that problems are dominating now.
:-P It's Friday. Jokes make life better and this one was merited, sorry.

Why is an enterprise analytical platform any different than Excel?
The answer to your "why does Oracle make it complex" is as simple as defining the difference between a client application and a server application.
Do not confuse things, if you want to compare an Oracle solution with other client apps, take Oracle Data Visualization Desktop.
Comparing a F1 car and a family van is almost the same as comparing OBIEE with another vendor client application: both are cars, they can both drive, but in very different ways and in a totally different context.
