    Hi Christian,

Is it for 11g Webcat? We have this user folder in both 11g and 12c .

    Thanks

I am asking whether you need too keep THIS part of the structure:

    root

    root/shared

    root/system

    root/users <--- THIS

    Hi Christian,

Thanks for your reply. Currently it is in Dev server and we do not need that folder.

    Thanks

Ok let me rephrase it once more:

Since you are talking about a *migration* . do you need the *users* folder also *migrated* over from 11g to 12c? Or do you just need the /shared?

    Hi Christian,

    Thanks for your reply.

As currently we are working in Dev environment, here we do not need user folder. But for Prod instance we will be require both the folders.

    Thanks

Then shut down the OBIPS, rename and backup the catalog folder on the file system, restart the OBIPS - this will create a blank catalog, then use the runcat command line to import the /shared folder from the backed up catalog.
