Save a report directly in Shared Folder

Hi,
I have a doubt. In Oracle Business Intelligence Analysis is possible to save a report directly in shared folder without to create a folder?
Thanks

When you say "Shared Folder", do you mean the top level folder in the catalog? If so, you should be able to save there if you have the correct permissions but sub folders means that the top level folder will be less messy.

Yes you can, as long as you have the permissions for it.
The name "Shared Folders" is more to make it clear it's shared (opposed to "My Folder") than indicating only folders can be created there inside at the top level.

Hi,
can you tell me what privileges I have to assign to save in shared folder top level?
Also with weblogic I see error "Unable to save in the root folder'.
Also could you tell me what privileges I have to assign to user to see the item FILTERS in the New Menu?
Thanks

Edit: Joel's right. One thread one question and not "one thread and teach me things from A to Z".

As you've marked this question as correct, I'll strongly suggest that you open a new thread for your further questions as they won't be answered here

Hi Christian,
but i have the error when I try to save in Shared Folder. I don't, as normal the up level (root folder). The catalog tree starts with Shared Folder level.
However how can I resolve the error?
Thanks

By opening a new thread and describing your issue precisely.

Ok. I have opened a new thread "
"Error when i try to save a report in Shared Folder"
. Could you give me an answer there?
Thanks
