Hi,
I am using OBIEE version 12.1.
I have created Analysis 1 with a sort order based on column x
I have created Analysis 2 and would like to set the sort order based on Analysis 1 results
Is that possible to achieve or is there a better work around?
Why don't you just add column x in Analysis 2 as hidden column?
If you have column x in Analysis 1 and few others columns that are shared between Analysis 1 and Analysis 2 (or it would be impossible to sort the way you ask) column x can perfectly exist in Analysis 2 as well...
Because there is no way to say "please sort based on another analysis", so your only option is to reproduce the sort condition in Analysis 2 like you did in Analysis 1.
Both analysis contain different columns and criteria, I can add column x in analysis 2 however the requirement is to sort the order in Analysis 2 by the rank order in Analysis 1
The sort order in Analysis 2 should be based on rank order in Analysis 1
Is that possible to acheive
???
If the two reports are completely different, how could you ever sort one the same as the other? You must have some commonality...
Can you please be a bit more specific about what you mean by basing the sort order on another report column, can't you just duplicate the sort order, alpha ascending etc ?
