Hi Experts,

Is RPD mandatory for all 3 kind of reports:

  • BI Answers
  • BI Publishers
  • Visual Analyzer

An RPD developed through OBIEE 12c can be reused through OAS and OAC?

    Using the rpd (repository) for your Analytics gives you many advantages because you are making use of a centralised semantic layer. You don’t need it for answers, BI publisher or Data Visualisation bit you loose the benefit of the repository’s many features.

    Answering your 2nd question, yes, you can use a 12c repository in OAS or OAS.

    Please use proper wording. It will help if you have a problem as people will understand what you're talking about.

    BI Answers -> That would be "Analyses"

    BI Publisher -> Yes, here it's a "Report"

    Visual Analyzer -> "Projects" and "Canvas"

    Words have meaning. It's 3 different technologies.
