Slow performance of BI Server
Hi,
I have installed Oracle Analytics Server 5.5.0 on Linux 6.9 (RedHat).
It's working ok, but very slow....
I fine a few symptons:
1. When I create new analysis and I want select Subject Area I must wait ~30sec for loading subject area
2. Update .rpd file in on-line mode taking 5-10 minutes. In offline mode with ./datamodel.sh uploadrpd also it is taking a few minutes.
3. Eneterprise Manager is loading very slow....screen below:
When I log in EM I get information:
Login is taking more time than usual. Total login time is 78838 ms, discovery time is 77495 ms. Consider enabling discovery cache and/or improving application server performance.
Can anyone have idea what about that? What can I check or set in OAS 5.5.0?

RPD and Subject Areas are known issues since a while.
Don't remember the bug number off the top of my head, but please open a Service Request for each issue to put more pressure on them since it doesn't seem it gets any attention.

Thanks for response.
Ok, I create two SR for RPD and Subject Area.
I think that is problem with obips1 service because:
Sep 3, 2020 11:27:47 AM CEST OBIPS obips1 Running task 'Rpd Info update' finished in 40051 milliseconds, 133.5% of job's frequency (30 seconds). Sep 3, 2020 11:24:07 AM CEST OBIPS obips1 Running task 'Rpd Info update' finished in 40042 milliseconds, 133.4% of job's frequency (30 seconds). Sep 3, 2020 11:20:27 AM CEST OBIPS obips1 Running task 'Rpd Info update' finished in 60095 milliseconds, 200.3% of job's frequency (30 seconds). 0 -
I have the same kind of SRs ongoing plus one for EM. Your EM login time is twice that of my test machine though. 70k msec is horrendous.

Hi ,
Were any of you able to get a resolution from oracle? I am facing the same slowness in a new OAS 5.5.0 installation as well.

@Christian Berg-0racle do you have any informaction or PATCH for my problem?
At now I test and I get information i EM:
Running task 'Rpd Info update' finished in 60072 milliseconds, 200.2% of job's frequency (30 seconds).
What can I do without create Oracle SR?

Not sure what problem or patch you're referring to. Are you still on OAS 5.5?
WIthout an SR you'll probably not get anywhere
