How action links will work in Dashboard union reports and how to create detailed report accordingly?

Hi All,

Present I am working on OBIEE 12C, We have a dashboard, In this dashboard summary page we have a union report, In this union report we have columns like LOB, Beginning HC, New hire, voluntary exit, Involuntary exit, Transfer out, Transfer In and Filters on Year -PV, Month -PV, Beginning HC for Year PV and Month PV like this for remaining also and now coming to Detailed Report(this is not union report) we have columns like LOB, Entity code, department, Emp ID, EMP Name, title, Location, Years on board, Years in job, Headcount So when we select for particular month, LOB and particular headcount details we should get this is the scenario can anyone help me on this  please...

Hi @User_M2QGE ,

You can define action links for columns in a union analysis. In the Criteria tab you have to click on Result Columns (and not an a Criteria) in order to get the Column Properties option for your columns and set up any required actions in the Interactions tab.

Please note that if you are mixing subject areas or presentation columns for a given position in your union report (e.g. if you combine Product Category and Country as the first column of your union report), the action will filter the target report using only the subject area/presentation column information from the first Criteria in your union report.

If you are using the same subject area on both your union report and your target report, and if your are combining the same column for each position in your union report, than your action will work as expected. Otherwise, you need to use an alternative approach (e.g. you could embed a link to target report using the GoURL syntax directly in the column expression).
