what does refresh option does

Hi, i would like to know what does refresh option does on botttom of the dashboard report in (export options)

    Refresh — Use this option to refresh the results of analyses included in the dashboard page.

    The refresh option hit the database with a query, if you dont push refresh option, the analysis hit the cache of bi presentation services,... The analysis object has an option in the advance tab option, you could see, bypass caché of presentation service, if you want to by pass and always hit the database to show your data results.
