Option to change colors using 'Manage Assignments' that will apply to that canvas only

When we change colors for a data point in one canvas using 'Manage Assignments', it will change the colors for that data point in all other canvases as well. It would be great if we had an option to change the colors in just that one canvas.

Use Case and Business Need

When developing canvases for Senior Management review in an OAD project, we wanted the ability to color particular LOBs (data points) in a single visualization to emphasize that those LOBs will be reviewed by Senior Management.

However, when I changed the colors for those particular LOBs (data points), I noticed that it changed the colors for those data points in all the other canvases in the project as well. We did not want the colors to change in all other canvases because the original colors in those canvases were strategically assigned for those canvases' purposes.

Hi Nicole- The easiest way to accomplish this is to create a custom calculation in My Calculations for that visualization (just drag in the column and give it a new name). Takes five seconds. You then use that new column name for the custom color assignment. It isn't unusual for us to sometimes replicate a column 2, 3, or even 4 times in a project for this exact reason.
