Description

Hello,

We have a requirement to connect OAC to NoSQL in OCI. In the list of supported datasouces https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/acsds/supported-data-sources.html, NoSQL is not listed.

Please let me know how soon (in which version of OAC) is this planned?

Thanks,

Chethana

Use Case and Business Need

Currently we are connecting to ADW as the datasource.
Our project has a huge dataset (about 11million records) and this grows on a daily basis (around 50K records get added each day).
This is large volume of data that requires high speed scale-out architecture. Also, our dataset is parquet files that are stored in Object Storage. These parquet files are mapped to external tables in ADW and is the current datasource.
Since these parquets have the nested data structure, with the huge volume of data, we are often facing data access issues between OAC and ADW.
Hence we want to move to NoSQL available in OCI to store our parquet files.

More details

Please let us know, in which version of OAC is this support targeted?

Thanks,

Chethana

  • Hello Product Management team,

I am expecting a response to my above query please. Kindly, let us know, is there is a plan to support NoSQL as a datasource in OAC? If yes, in which version? If no, why not?

    Thanks in advance,

    Chethana

  • The Oracle Analytics team can consider connectivity to products and services that offer drivers or APIs that allow external connectivity. When there is a standard driver, we can look at either creating a connector using it, or customers can utilize our connectivity to generic JDBC. With APIs, we have a REST API connector.
