Session Time Out new message

Description

When the session is timing out, the user needs to re-authenticate or just refresh the page but he is receiving and alert message in red stating: "Something went wrong". This is confusing.

Use Case and Business Need

Having a meaningful message when the user needs to re-authenticate and not an error popup.

This is the timeout message. Currently, there is also an OAC message that is being fired, we will see if we can remove it.

How this message was achieved . we are currently using DV (not OAC ) and have the same problem.

Which version are you on? Are you sure that you encounter the issue due to a timeout?

Hi Gabby ,

We are on OBIEE 12.2.1.4.0 which comes with DV . Yes when I see the Request URL its going to SSO login when this happens.

Read my mind. "Something went wrong" error is so annoying. Would love to know how to get the timeout message.

If you are on 5.5 and do not get a proper timeout message, please post the screenshot. This issue had been resolved for some time now in both OAC and OAS so if you are still seeing an issue with the latest version it is something that we need to fix.

We are on OAS 5.5 and we still get these Something went wrong error intermittently . It would be great if you point us in the right direction . We are using chrome browser.
