I agree. Administrators should have visibility into all the data connections.

This will be very helpful to eliminate the duplication of data sets and use the available resources efficiently.

Agree - very difficult to debug issues when you can't access the data sets created by non-admin users.

Administrators should be able to see all data sets, data connections, and data flows as a default. This would enable them to manage the platform more efficiently.

100 % match with our requirement - admins should be able to "see" all DV artefacts - data sets, connections, DV projects, data flows... (at least in read only mode) to be able to monitor/evaluate/measure the overal OAS (we are on-premise customer) environment - simply perform administration and also governance task within OAS. And it is about the form of access - it could be for example REST API for which we are wating for such long time for DV.

Hi, Is this requirement fulfilled by Oracle? We are in OAS 5.9 and still Administrator not able to see 'Connections' created by normal DV users. Any suggestions please?

    Thanks,

@User_9C68L I guess, that what is meant by "Delivered" status within this Idea , is functionality of "Manage content" in DV Console - where users with Admin privileges can see (as list) objects (workbooks, data sets, connections , data flows etc..). This is available since OAS 2023/7.0. The main purpose for this "Manage Content" screen is to allow admins to change/reassigning ownership of any of those objects (which is btw, not working in OAS 7.0 due to a bug, which will be soon fixed).

But still what is missing, is having this ability to "list" different DV objects (and of course their properties) as part of "API", which can be called and consumed in automatic way (REST API is available only in OAC and with very limited functionality so far, in OAS nothing...)

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for quick reply!!

Currently I am doing upgrade our OAS 5.9 to 7.0.

I already upgraded OAS in DEV environment. But I can't see any connections in the DV with 'weblogic' login either 5.9 or 7.0. But there are so many connections exists which were created by DV users. So as you said above, it seems this issue is not fixed yet by Oracle.

    Thanks,

    Anand

@User_9C68L In OAS 7.0 you need (in DV UI) to navigate to Console -> Manage Content and here you can see it.
