Copy Data OAC

Organization Name
PCBAPPS
Description
OAC has feature copy data to copy the data from table or pivot table. To Use this feature we have to Right Click
Edit->Copy Data.As this process is cumbersome for customer experience, It would be helpful if Copy Data option is directly available on right click
Use Case and Business Need
Copy Data if available directly on right click reduces the clicks and improve customer experience

Getting data out of DV is already quite limited compared to OBIEE, this usability change would definitely help simplify things for all users. Almost every user will at some point need to copy data into Excel or other apps from DV.

i would like DV to have ALL functionality today available to analyses and dashboards.

This is indeed a good point. Also would be good to have the export function to export all data and not just 1000 rows.

If these changes are added in OAC then please update us on vshettigar@pcbapps.com

Even better, why can't we use basic controls like Ctrl C. We also can only copy and paste within the project. I want to copy something in a project and paste in an email or something. This functionality needs included

This is a good functionality. And as suggested the Ctrl+C option to copy data from DV does seem very useful. I addition it would be great to the Ctrl+C option to copy data from single cell too. The as-is functionality copied the whole row in DV as of now.

How is this basic functionality still not in place after 3 years? Telling an end user that they cannot copy data from a dashboard in OAC inevitably leads to discussing why Power BI/Tableau/AS400 was a much better platform and slows or terminates adoption of the OAC tool.
The <-right-click> <edit> <copy data> solution is not acceptable as it is cumbersome and places an entire row of data in the clipboard. The suggestion to use data actions is not sufficient as we cannot know why the user needs to paste the information.

Similar experience.
many of my users compare DV to Domo, Tableau, etc and get frustrated.
