Description

Set permission to share the saved customization in reporting dashboard is enabled for BI administrator.

If we could leverage the share saved customization to BI consumer or DV content author. It will give the flexibility for users to share the saved customized dashboards with other privileged user whom they want to share for easy access purpose and future usage as well.

Essentially Saved Selections allow a user to save values selected in prompts.

It will reduce the user wait time in selecting the prompt every time etc..

Use Case and Business Need

critical for the following reasons:

1. Time savings à Users do not have to select the same values for every single prompt every time a report is pulled
2. Cost savings à Saved Selections can be defaulted, which results in less data being queried every time a Dashboard is run
3. Standardization àWhen Saved Selections are shared across the Enterprise (or BA, BU, etc.), all the users will be looking at the same metrics, rather than each user having different results
4. Efficiency à Much of the SSBI reporting requests can be avoided using and sharing Saved Selections in the existing centrally developed Dashboards
