Request a default value for a numeric variable equivalent to the character '%'

Description (Required): Request that Development build into OBIEE the equivalent of "%" as a default character when passing a numerical presentation variable from a dashboard prompt in order to ignore a filter if the variable has no data. This is used frequently with presentation variables that contain text.
Use Case and Business Need (Required): This feature would be very useful for handling numerical presentation variables that are passed into analysis filters.

Great idea and much needed! The % logic is fundamental to flexibility in our reporting and to be able to do this with numbers and dates and avoid massive range searches will lead to increased performance of queries for users that choose to not submit a value

I agree, it enhances user experience and makes the platform that much more productive, effective and efficient. Without it, the functionality if stringent and does not allow flexibility to the user. Thank you.
