Description

Issue Description:

Excel MS Query not reading the ADW database objects in Camel case sensitive. It is querying in Uppercase from database and we are receiving errors due to tables naming conventions in camel case

Use Case and Business Need

At our company, we created adhoc views/summarized tables for our business to access data. We have business users today who access our Data Warehouse database objects using Excel. Going forward, they will be accesing ADW objects (We had created ETLs using BICC objects) using Excel and we are unable to connect to objects that are in camel case and we have no issues connecting in Upper case.

More details

Desc: We have ODBC connection set up for Oracle database and we are using Excel Microsoft query connecting to ODBC data source (Oracle) and pulling data from views or tables.

Excel MS Query not reading the database objects in Camel case sensitive. It is querying in Uppercase from ADW database and we are receiving errors due to Oracle ADW database objects in Camel case sensitive. The error is ORA-00904 invalid identifier.

This can be closed now.  Excel usually read the Oracle database objects in Upper case and the solution is to set up the tables and columns in Upper Case in ADW so that Excel reads them easily.
