Is there a way to configure the number of files a user can upload into Visual analyzer ? what other options to limit the user space/storage usage ?

Whilst you can't limit the *number* of files, there is a limit on the *total storage used* per user account:

These limits can be amended, per MoS doc OBIEE 12c: How To Change The External Subject Area (XSA) File Quota Settings (Doc ID 2111743.1)
