When I create an RTF template that is just a table and output it to XLS or XLSX in Word or PeopleSoft, it creates a merged row right below the final row of data. This seems to be because word always makes an non-deletable empty row / carrage return after the table. This empty merged row makes it difficult for the end users to quickly sort the data, create pivots, etc. how do you suppress this row?

Done.
I came up with a way to fix it in Java post hoc but it would be better if I could prevent it.
