BI Publisher Report is adding duplicate carriage returns

I developed the RTF template offline and imported xml data. The preview to PDF looks good.  After uploading Template and running report on-line, the description field is repeating carriage returns.

Example of what it should look like

Hi Joe,

First Sentence.....

instead it is adding an extra line feed like this.

Please attach the sample XML and template. Also add the bi publisher version to the question.

1. Open RTF template in word and check 'Line and Paragraph spacing' if its adding before and after spacing paragraph.

2. Check if there are any hidden formatting symbols. (While in word press (Ctrl+*))
