Number of columns in BI Publisher

Summary
Number of columns in BI Publisher
Content
Hello,
We are trying to migrate a 79 columns SSRS report to BI Publisher, I had a hard time including these 79 columns in one layout in terms of controlling the column width; I divided the report columns among different layouts in the publisher but then there was no way to export these different layouts into one single Excel sheet.
the customer is really against changing the layout and there is noway to do some analysis right now to improve the layout.
My question is: Is there anyway to make these 79 columns readable in one report layout? if not; can I export different layouts into one excel sheet?
Thanks,
Mona

Hi,
Its always preferable if you have number of columns more then go for Excel layout rather generating excel output from rtf

Perhaps use the database to dump the data to a file and not rely on a reporting tool to do it - you'll skip steps, save bandwdth and simplify the management of the solution.
OBIEE Foundation is not designed to be a data pump.

What page size are you using?

A3, with landscape layout.

Hi,
I'm not certain what do you mean by going to Excel layout, Do you mean using BI publisher tools to create an Excel template?

Just in case someone faced the same scenario; I figured out that the page Width can be increased as required and not limited to the A3 size, in my case the users didn't require to print the report so I increased the Page width enough to fit the 79 columns.
This can be done by selecting the page and changing the Page Width property on the Properties Panel.
