BI Publisher 12.1.3 Gauge Chart Measure field defaults to Count, not Sum

According to the documentation for 11g and 12c, when you insert a gauge its Chart Measure Field should default to Sum. But in 12.1.3, the version that comes embedded with 13c EM Cloud Control, it not only defaults to Count, but all the useful options - like Summation - are greyed-out. Is this a bug?

    What type of value are you using? Typically, the other options are greyed out if you are trying to summarize a string value ie you can not average a string value.

    If you are using a numeric value, BIP might not be recognizing it as such, there maybe characters in the data, spaces, etc. Check the data that is coming in from the data model.

    If they are all numeric, then it maybe a bug and you will need to log an SR with support for some further help.
