Hi All,

I do have a BIPublisher report where in it displays 20,000 records but when I export the report into Excel it only exports 1500 records out of 20.000. Below are the details of the OBIEE version we are using. Some one please provide me the steps to resolve the issue.

Note:- There is no aggregations using in the query.

OBIEE version Oracle Business Intelligence 11.1.1.7.140715

SQl Server DB version 2008 SP2

1) Using SQL created Data Model

2) created the Report

3) When try to export the report into Excel then I can see only 1500 records out of 20,000 Records. Attached is the screen short.

or Bug 16021932 : XLSX OUTPUT IS LIMITED TO 256 COLUMNS

more as 65K data?

Hi Ashwin

I can see from your screen shot that this is not an RTF template but its a web based template built in the online template builder. I see you have a couple of parameters in the report that are set to show all values. One thing to check with the interactive mode is that you have not filters the data by either clicking on a chart or on a column header in the table.

You might also check the template itself and make sure you have not inadvertently added a hidden filter in the layout.

If you have not done that. Id recommend creating a new template with just a table in it to show the data. Run it and then export that.

If you are getting all 20K rows, then there is some filter at work in the other template.

If there are not 20K rows, then there is some other issue. I doubt it will be the data model as you are successfully exporting to csv. When you select csv, there is no layout template involved, BIP just pushes the data out directly from the data model.

At that point, I think you would need to log an SR with support to get more direct help.

Can you try Excel (mhtml) output ? As i assume the columns /rows are being merged ?
