Hi ,

Report scheduling feature works as expected but  we encounter one unusual problem that once i schedule a report from Application it successfully executed on BIP Server but out put coming blank and the same report i run on Application it give the data . IS their any way to resolve  that issue .

Please see the below information that might help to resolve that issue

1. What is the BI Publisher version-. - -Oracle BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.1 (build# 1101 on Tue May 24 19:15:19 GMT 2011)"

3. Is this a general scheduling report issue, or this is happening only with this specific report ? - Happen for only Specific report

4. Did you tried to execute the report in question with normal execution(not scheduling)? Yes it is working fine give data in XSL format but same report when i schedule did not give data at all.

5. For how many records you are trying to run the report? -100

Hello,

As questioned by ​ about template, which one are you calling.

I remember once i was calling (and e-mailing) a report from within bip and from outside too.

The problem was that i had 2 layouts in that report and i was calling different layout on each side, so i was having different output (one of them was blank) and couldn´t figure it out what was wrong until i realize that.

Just a thought (check with  questions what can be wrong, as he knows better than me about BIP and helped me a lot too)!

Hi

Firstly, your version of BIP is 6 years old and Im not even sure you are still supported :0(

However, II'll try to help, some more questions :0)

1. what is the application that is calling the report? How is it calling the report?

2. You mention that it only happens for a specific report. So you can schedule other reports? IF you can, then its just  an issue with this report and not the BIP server itself.

3. In question 4, Did you tried to execute the report in question with normal execution? you state- Yes it is working fine give data in XSL format but same report when i schedule did not give data at all - I do not understand what you mean?

4.Can you describe the report.

Is it using a SQL query to retrieve the data?

Are there any parameters?

What type of template are you using to format the output?

What output are you trying to generate? What happens if you try to just generate the data from the report with no template?
