BI Publisher reports for CPU history

Content

Hi All -

I'm looking for a default report or a good example of how to generate a report showing CPU usage for all Hosts for the past 30 days.  Are there any good sites or places where some data models can be found or some queries to use in the query builder to create reports not found in the Default list?

I'm surprised to not find a default report showing CPU usage (one of the most important things that needs to be reported about).

Cheers,

Jeff

    Hi Jeff

This forum is specific to BIP issues. I know you have a BIP issue but technically its a question of where is the data that you want to report from ie what tables store the CPU usage data. Im not sure which product you are using however, you might have better luck finding that out if there is an ERD for the product you are using or asking the same question phrased to know the tables you need to hit on the product specific forum.

    Cheers

    Hi Tim,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.  I'm using BI Publisher 11.1 and was browsing through the out-of-the-box reports, which are nice but I was surprised to not see more useful reports, such as a historical report of CPU usage over time (say 1 year) in order to gauge how much additional CPU is being used now compared to 12 months ago.  The Usage Report seems to only give you the make/model of the CPU.  Fine, but logically the management is more interested in how the CPU is being used month to month as opposed to being informed every month that the CPU is still made by Intel and no one went in and changed the CPU to an AMD.

I suppose my problem is that I find the out-of-the-box reports more or less useless, and I was wondering if there was some sort of collection or toolbox or repository where people have been donating their data models or SQL Queries or templates to the community which others can peruse and download to fine tune and implement themselves.

    Cheers,

    Jeff

    Hi Jeff

The samples come from the development team for the product you are using thats running on top of BIP for its reporting ie Weblogic server or Accounts Receivable.

When I was at Oracle I tried to get a repository off the ground for folks to share content. Sadly, the legal team were not on board at the time so it didnt happen.

Im not sure if there is a forum for the the product you are using where you could ask if someone else has developed a custom BIP data model that you could use.
