Hi all, I got a question from a user that claims that files in /My folders/Drafts get purged after a few days. The user lost hours of work.
I didn't believe the user at first and made a test myself, last week I uploaded one DM and one RPT to /My folders/Drafts folder.
Checked today and both files are gone. Have anyone seen this before? It must be a way to turn it of.

The purpose of the Drafts is it serves as a TEMP directory to store unsaved information .. .on further digging the same was mentioned in note "Fusion BI - Catalog Files in /My Folders/Temp and /My Folders/Cache Get Purged After 25 Hours (Doc ID 2372726.1)"
"/My Folder/Temp or /My Folder/Drafts are used internally by BI, these folders should not be used to save reports. All contents in this folder get purged after 25 hours."

Nice to learn after losing hours of work to be redone.
I have work stored in 'My Folder/Drafts from Feb 2024 - Jun 2024. And I'm just now experiencing my more recent work getting 'purged'.
Not good.

SOLUTION
/My Folder/Temp or /My Folder/Drafts are used internally by BI and are volatile, these folders should not be used to save reports. All contents in these folders get purged after 25 hours.
A new folder could be created under 'My folders' directly to save the content to it. Once the task(s) is completed, then move them to the /Shared/Custom folder.
Above could explain why not all of my work is purged. My OTBI work is what remains untouched in 'My Folder/Drafts'.
