I want to generate alerts in OAC for errors seen in my visualisations in OAC. Also want to send email notifications to specified users through OAC.
Does OAC support this feature? If yes, what are the steps to configure this please?

Hi,
As OAC is quite "wide" and contains few different products inside, do you mean in a data visualization project? And by "errors seen in my visualization" is that a reference to business errors? Like if you are showing sales of products and one is missing or it is a wrong number? Or "technical" errors like if you reference a missing column and you get an error when opening a visualization?
Just to not randomly start mentioning things which probably make no sense based on your request

When I say OAC, yes, I mean data visualization project. For the visualizations I create in OAC, how do I generate alerts and notifications. I would like to generate them both, in case of 'technical' and 'business' errors in my visualizations.

Hi Chethana,
There is no direct provision to handle this in OAC for Analysis reports, though with some tweaks this can be handled using Agents in OAC classic.
As per my knowledge, This option (agents) is currently available for analysis and not for DV projects. Oracle Analytics Cloud 18.1.3 and later version have all the features such as Alerting, scheduling, and delivery using Agents available in OAC Enterprise.
In BI Publisher this can be easily done using scheduling as shared above by Fernando.

Hi Chethana, everyone has great comments and all will help. In addition, we created an email alias to receive notifications either console related, data sync or DV errors, jobs, etc. We use the same alias for all notifications, as our ADMINs usually remain the same and its easier to maintain if ADMINs change in the future. Instead of using individual email addresses. Hope this additionally helps you setup.
