Where can I find the admin tool docs
Can someone point me to the documentation for the BI Client Admin Tool? I've been digging through the OAC documentation and cannot not find anything on using the admin tool.
Thanks.
Jerry
Hi Jerry, This may be what you are looking for:
https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/acsmd/upload-data-models-oracle-bi-enterprise-edition.html If you run into any specific issues, then head over to MyOracle Support and search: OAC administration tool and you will find some soluttions for specific situations. Hope that helps.
This doc just covers uploading an rpd that you already have to OAC. There's no information on actually creating an rpd using the admin tool. And searching for OAC administration tool in My Oracle Support didn't turn anything up, either.
Why is it so hard to find this documentation? There's so much documentation and it's so hard to find what I need.
Hi Jerry, Apologies, maybe I mistook your question for general information, I didn't catch that you were looking to build an RPD from scratch. There are two different methods for modeling for OAC - The Data Modeler and the RPD.https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/model-data-for-reports.html I do think the documentation may have a gap here in that it assumes one is either going to use the Data Modeler or upload an existing RPD from a previous on-prem or manipulate a previously upload RPD. If you are looking for information about building repositories, then I would direct you to the on-prem documentation for Oracle Analytics Server as it covers it in a bit more detail.
Introduction to Building Your Metadata Repositoryhttps://docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/bi/analytics-server/metadata-oas/introduction-build-your-metadata-repository.html#GUID-BDFD09D7-3CA1-4D6B-8229-B878DA6C4316 There is also a myriad of blogs, videos, and other resources that supplement specific scenarios that I have found helpful. You can add any documentation enhancement in the Ideas Lab. Other comments welcomed.
While a bit dated the concepts are still the same

Hello Team, While building a Pivot Table view for my report, 2 out of the 4 metric columns contain completely null values. I'm looking for a way to automatically exclude or hide metric columns whenever they are entirely null or zero. Could you please advise on how to achieve this? Thanks.
Hi! I am looking for audit logging for Analytics objects, such as users creating, modifying, or deleting datasets, dataflows, schedules, etc. The traditional Presentation Services component provides such logging in domains/oas/servers/obips1/logs/auditjson.log, which contains audit information for catalog objects,…
I'm trying to index a Local Subject Area so I can use it in my AI Agent, however, I keep receiving the generic error below. Request status(500) : error = {"prefix":"DSS","code":50000,"message":"There was an unexpected error while processing this request. Please try again."}
it is observed that in OAC while using case statements the output is not expected.For example if we have a case statment like case when table1.column1=table2.column1 then 'yes' else 'No' end as Attribute1 Now if i use this attribute with a fact-amount column attribute 1|| Amount on a report then we dont get the aggregation…
