Need Zip codes map layer in Classic OAC

Hi,

We have a requirement to create map reports at the zip code level in OAC. Based on the requirements, we need to build these reports in classic BI (not DV). We have added the GeoJson file from https://www.oracle.com/in/business-analytics/data-visualization/geo-layers/ to create a custom map layer and it is working fine in DV. Can anyone help us with how to add the same layer in classic BI?

Hi Neeti,

It is not the same way it work for DV. For working with Classic BI Oracle provide some out of Box Layers and Map where you can go and configure if you have preloaded country and city. In your scenario you have to implement OAC Custom map for BI Classic based on zip code .For that you need to create custom map layer based on Zip code from Map Viewer Tool and import though Map viewer configuration .Database details also needed in order to work with because you need to setup the coordinate in Database. It is similar concept as OBIEE 12c.

@ALOK SH-Oracle You are correct. In OBIEE, we had the option to access mapviewer. However, this is not the case with OAC. We do not have access to mapviewer or metadata.

Hi Neeti,

Here also we have the access. If you have administration access then you simply replace \Analytics to \mapviewer and map viewer configuration page would be open .
