Error by import of CSV into OAC

Question

Summary:

Error "File Upload Failed - Number of Columns in CSV exceeds Max supported limit:250" by import of CSV file with 4 columns.

Error "File Upload Failed - Number of Columns in CSV exceeds Max supported limit:250" by import of CSV file with 4 columns.

It is truth that the file has about a zillion rows, the total file size is about 69 MB. What should I do to import the file into OAC?

Hi,

I found a reason of the error. CSV file contains double quote characters in one column (text field with strings searched by users in database) regardless that there was \ right before double quote character. In moment I replaced double quote character in the file, I was able to import CSV without any problem.

You could modify the file to be within the column limits (if that is possible).

If you truly do not have over 250 columns, then perhaps the file just needs to be cleaned up/fixed/copied to a new file in Excel and try again.

Another option would be to import into your database / datasource directly and query as a table/view.
