OBIEE 12c - Default Application Roles has no role name: BIAuthor and BIConsumer

Question

Hello Experts,

In my new environment oracle biee12c am looking to set up a large list of user groups has put the role name: BIAuthor and BIConsumer Application Roles in default installed.

In my case:

1 - in weblogic, I configured and tested Realm to list the groups that wish to use.

the problem

2 - in the enterprise manager, configure application roles I do not find anything different from Role BIServiceAdministration.

I wish to use BIContent and BIAuthor, but it does not find them.

And, i my rpd, Identity Manager > Repository BI > Applications Roles > IS EMPTY.

I expected BI Author BIConsumer BI Administrator (on-line mode).

I set something to activate them?

You may have been a corrupted file?

Hi,

If you wanna copy roles from other environment, you can do:

1) Create that manually, follow that

2) Copy this roles from other environment trought "BI Export Bundle" (i don't know if you can copy only app roles)

3) "I never tested that" Perform a merge of your system-jazs-data.xml, on OBIEE 11g I did that many times, but on OBIEE 12c we have new particularities that can impact negatively

I really don't know if there are other ways

I'll wait eager for more answers

I understand.

We know that if you deploy the sample will lose my repository and current catalog.

However I would like to be able to copy only the roles and Their required settings and a desev environment where I sample to the customer environment.

Is this possible?

When you do the configuration step in the OBIEE installation, you should be able to select the deployment of "Sample App".

That should contain all the necessary roles
