What report are people using for the Libro Giornale?

I have a requirement from our Italian Office that they require a report called the 'Libro Giornale' 

Italian report required by law - Libro Giornale

We need to be able to export a report from the system that is required by Italian law called the Libro Giornale

I have checked the EMEA reports for Italy "https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/financials/18b/ocuar/oracle-fusion-financials-for-emea-reports.html#OCUAR2938882" and I cannot find a relevant report there.

What report are other Italian customers using for the Libro Giornale?

    I think you need to use Localization to achieve that.

    Localisations aside, you are saying there is no standard / seeded report and that we must build a custom report in OBIEE?

    However, if you read my original post you will see that I have already checked that link and been unable to identify a Libro Giornale at that location.

    Are you saying one of the following reports can be used as the Libro Giornale?

    • VAT Reports for Italy
    • Intra-EU Reports for Italy
    • Exemption Reports for Italy
    • Withholding Tax Reports for Italy

    Hi,

    I have found document 'Italy Libro Giornale Report (Doc ID 2391059.1)' which suggests you use the 'General Ledger Journal Entry Report'.

    Can any Italian customers confirm this is the report they are using? Is the formatting acceptable?

    I wonder if you ever found resolution of this matter. Did you have to write the report yourself in OBIEE, or did you find a seeded report?

    Today I was given the exact same question as you originally posted bu our Italian team.

    Hi Allan,

    Unfortunately I cannot give you a definitive answer, as our accounting manager in the UK was supposed to travel to Italy to finalize this process with the Italian team just as travel restrictions were imposed. So we are yet to complete this process ourselves. (this is one of the final stages to move them off a legacy system to Fusion)

    However, we did manage to build a proposed report based on our internal requirements... by joining both the 'General Ledger Journal Entry Report' (XML data) and one of our own custom built OTBI Reports. 

    I would be interested to hear how you progress with this yourself and whether the vanilla 'General Ledger Journal Entry Report' is acceptable by Italian law.

    I know a few years have past but I wonder if the 'General Ledger Journal Entry Report' was accepted to be used in lieu of a custom report for Libro Giornale?
