BI Publisher Excel - How to get multiple horizontal repeating groups working?
Content
Hello There,
I would like to know how can I get the below output using BI Publisher for Excel.
I have three groups in the xml file.
G_1 -> G_2 -> G_3
Below expected output:
| G_1 | G_2 | G_3 | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Segment1 | Creation_Date | Line_Num | Item_ID | Quantity_Ordered | Quantity_Delivered |
| 10001008 | 08 11 2019 | 10 | 300000013603844 | 200 | 100 |
| 20 | 300000013612944 | 300 | 200 | ||
| 30 | 300000013615636 | 10 | 5 | ||
| 40 | 300000013626474 | 20 | 1 | ||
| 50 | 300000013676169 | 2 | 2 | ||
| 10001009 | 22 11 2019 | 10 | 300000014432708 | 11 | 11 |
| 20 | 300000014437123 | 25 | 25 | ||
| 30 | 300000014434715 | 6 | 6 | ||
The output I am getting now is as below:
| G_1 | G_2 | G_3 | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Segment1 | Creation_Date | Line_Num | Item_ID | Quantity_Ordered | Quantity_Delivered |
| 10001008" rowMark="2 | 2019-11-08T04:35:17.000+00:00" rowMark="2 | 10" rowMark="3 | 300000013603844" rowMark="3 | 200 | 100 |
| 20" rowMark="3 | 300000013612944" rowMark="3 | 300 | 200 | ||
| 30" rowMark="3 | 300000013615636" rowMark="3 | 10 | 5 | ||
| 40" rowMark="3 | 300000013626474" rowMark="3 | 20 | 1 | ||

Hello Ishan Agarwal
I am still looking for a solution for this issue. However, I approached writing a data model with one data set whihc has a WITH CLAUSE query.
I suupose the other option to the desired output would be instead of using Excel, youcan define the template in MS Word. In the report output option you give the possibolity of output as excel as well.
Hope this helps
Regards,
Don

Thanks a lot Donald Ferreira !!
I did try with MS Word template but as the number of columns is huge so I am looking for an excel template layout only. I have raised this concern on other posts also, hoping to get some resolution on this.
