how to compare Person Number with Manager Number field

Question

Summary: I would want to apply a condition to know if Colleague is present in Manager Name field or not. How do we compare the Person Number field with Manager Person Number field to get results as Yes / No.

Tried applying case when condition using above mentioned fields directly however I only got results as No in output.

Hi Abhishek,

Please try creating a report using the attached xml, and, see if it fits your need. There is a flag called - "Manager"."Manager Flag" which gives Yes/No values as below -

Thanks for your response.

Though this is helpful, however this will perhaps filter out the Person number report for all those colleague who is also present in Manager Person Number field. I wanted to create a flag field (as Yes/ No) in the report -> Yes, if person is present in Manager Person Number column else No as a value. Purpose was to include this flag field in one of our report to understand if existing colleague is a supervisor or not.

PS: Manager flag field is not mandate to update in our organization & thus not too useful at the moment. I have pulled it into the report but it wont fulfil the purpose.

I suppose you can use manager flag or Worker category fields to get this information. However if you are still trying to compare Person numbers to Manager person numbers, you can try something like below.

First you can create a separate report that contains all the "Manager Person Numbers".  Then on the Person report you can add a new filter as above. This will show person numbers which are available as part of the "Manager Person Numbers"
