Drill down into transaction record from OTBI dashboard report

Description

Ability to drill-down directly into a transaction record from an OTBI dashboard report

Use Case and Business Need

In Sales Cloud we have the ability to drill-down into an Opportunity, Activity, Contact, or Account record from a dashboard report; however for reports in Financials, SCM, or HCM we cannot code deep links to drill into a transaction record, directly from a report.  This functionality is highly valuable when the business needs rely primarily on custom reports from OTBI, and will allow users to easily analyze data with the ability to drill-down into the transaction in real-time, rather than having to complete a separate search for the transaction record.

    Alistair,

This OTBI functionality is currently missing in SCM. Our development teams are tracking this for sometime with internal discussions. At this point - to gain momentum and push it higher on our priority list I will ask you and other interested members to vote on this. Details at:

    Thank you Sanjeev,

I read through the documentation.  How do I vote and socialize this idea to get voted on.

    Regards,
    Alistair

This is a must, and frankly, surprising that this did not make it into the first release of Cloud ERP out of the box.  I can come up with about 2 dozen use cases for our implementation in which we use reporting to identify exceptions or anomalies and need to link directly to the transaction to resolve or otherwise take action.  Many "lesser" ERP systems have this functionality built in.

Is this still an idea? The link isn't working for me?
