Buyer LOV in Procurement Dashboard shows Inactive Buyers

Organization Name
Airport Authority Hong Kong
Description
As per Bug 23974330, current intended design confirmed that Buyer LOV on
Manage Requisitions contains both the Agents with both "Active" and
"Inactive" Status.
As per PM, we should inactive buyers as we would like customers to be able to
query up requisitions that have been assigned to inactive buyers
Use Case and Business Need
Due to this issue, users cannot easily search for Buyer; there is a long list
of values from which the user needs to select.

This is a cut and paste from the bug database of a problem raised by a different customer and is not helpful at all.
I need to hear in your own words the specific business problem that the customer is facing to which they are seeking a solution.

Hi Suman,
AAHK reported this issue exist in their environment. They found Doc ID 2169938.1. It’s a known bug and ER 24362140 already created. The note provided workarounds and am checking if any of these works withe AAHK. But I would like to know if there would be a permanent fix.
Workarounds
1. For use case where users given view only access includes auditors and who are not not buyers and you do not want them in LOV:
- Typically auditors are given OTBI reporting access or are given reports run by IT or business analysts vs. access through the UIs.
2. Otherwise:
- Allow requesters and preparers view their respective requisitions and then drill into the related purchase order from the
manage requisitions page. If it is an issue with people leaving or changing positions, utilize the reassign capabilityThanks,
Joy

I need to understand the specific business problem that the customer is facing to which they are seeking a solution. I would prefer that you have your customer or your customer's SI join this conversation directly to make this exchange more effective.

Thanks, Suman. Godwin (Oracle Consulting supporting the customer) will update this Idea with additional information.

Hi Suman,
Attached is the customer's test case showing the OTBI report still displaying the inactive buyer name.
For your review and comment.
Cheers,

Hi Suman, I think I know what I was doing wrong.
I was using Upload an image, instead of Attach File. Workaround was tested but it still not working for customer.
Please refer to Idea f952362cac - Inactive Buyer still showing in List of Value.docx.
Thanks
