Enable EVALUATE function for OTBI reporting

Description

We have reporting needs that require us to use the EVALUATE function. Since we do not have access to the RPD and certain columns or formatting is just not available in OTBI, we need this function turned on for a select group of super-users. It is possible that other Fusion Cloud users would also find this beneficial as well.

Please vote to have EVALUATE enabled for certain super-user accounts. We used to be able to do this ourselves by editing the NQSConfig.ini file in the on-prem OBIEE.

Use Case and Business Need

To use database functions that are not available OTBI, which will assist with fulfilling reporting needs.

    This would be a huge help in allowing OTBI reports to provide back a single row of information instead of multiple rows where other functions don't provide the same results or flexibility.

    Agree with everybody. This is really much needed and not difficult to enable for Oracle.

    an absolute must have if OTBI is the recommended reporting tool moving forward. We need to have the ability to extend beyond basic logical SQL and OTBI based functions to create comprehensive, enterprise level analytics. Access to listagg and regexp alone would change our reporting game - Come on Oracle, it is time to let this tool do all it was intended to do.

    Agree with all! LISTAGG is very much needed if OTBI is to be of value for the business! Please Oracle add this in upcoming release!

    The otbi is an ill reporting tool its not friendly and very much unpredictable to use. Enabling this otion might make it better

    pls acknowledge the omission in functionality discussed in this tread.

    Deloitte encounters this issue at multiple implementation projects where client for instance has a simple requirement to report on ISO week level in OTBI reporting tooling

    rewriting physical SQL "to_char(<date>,'IW')" functionality to Logical SQL with all its limitations is no feasible way forward (particularly for business end-users creating reports from self service perspective)

    pls consider to have EVALUATE function enabled trough SR request

    ( Currently, OTBI will not allow for evaluate function to be leveraged ==> [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. EVALUATE_SUPPORT_LEVEL inside NQSConfig.INI is not set to support EVALUATE. (HY000) )
