Allow for "expand all" in OTBI reporting

Description

In our OTBI reports, we use views that can expand and collapse. It would be nice to have an "expand all" solution instead of having to expand each item one at a time

Use Case and Business Need

For example, we report by Expenditure type Category, but then we sometimes want to expand and see the Expenditure Types underneath. It would be much faster and more efficient to be able to have an option of Expand all. Currently, you can expand one by one but the repot has to reload each time.

 

We have a work around to create different views, but this would be a nice feature for end users

    We're currently in the process of implementing a reporting solution for one of the largest retail customers in ANZ region, and at present to view data at lower levels in hierarchies the users have to expand each node at a time, this feature can save significant amount of time for 500+ users and improve the overall user experience.

    Is this in the roadmap and do you have any timelines?

    As a large retailer in New Zealand, we have a significant number of stores whose store managers will be using OTBI P&L reports, in addition to a number of cost centre managers at our Support Office. These are non-finance users who need to be able to get to this information in the most efficient way. Clicking down on each group in a hierarchy is time consuming and when you multiply this by a fairly large number of groups within the hierarchy, this will take a significant amount of time with no value add to our business.

    Having an "Expand All" and "Collapse All" button will greatly reduce this unproductive time.
