Organization Name (Required - If you are an Oracle Partner, please provide the organization you are logging the idea on behalf of): Cetera

Description (Required):

We've created an Assignment DFF and want to categorize the results of an OTBI report based on the DFF's values.

When we add metrics like Voluntary Headcount from the "Workforce Management - Workforce Trend Real Time" subject area, it doesn't provide the headcount based on values loaded to the employee's DFF but rather returns ALL voluntary headcount. However if I were to swap out the DFF in the report for a seeded Assignment field (i.e. Business Unit name) the counts are correct.

We need the ability to aggregate by Assignment flex (DFF) in the Trend Subject Area.

This is Developments response:

UM(("Workforce Management - Workforce Trend Real Time"."Workforce Trend"."Period End Active Headcount") by "Assignment Event Details"."PER_ASG_DF_REPORTING_BU_" , "Time"."Month")

This will not work as there is no join between Trend Fact table and Assignment flex table.

Assignment flex table is from Assignment Event SA, so the partition is not happening as expected.

These are from two different subject areas. BI server is doing a Total headcount and displaying for all the Business

Units. This is an expected behavior.

When they use Business Unit dimension instead of flex there is a direct join so partition is happening and fetching the correct data.

This requirement needs modelling changes to make it work in OTBI. But we are not supporting assignment flex in Trend SA.

////

Use Case and Business Need (Required):

Our business has reorganized our Business Units reducing them from ~20 to 7. Each exec member is responsible for a business unit. The leaders are responsible for the historical trends, and future improvements, of the BU's assigned to them. In order to align the historical BU's to the new BU structure, we've created a DFF on employees Assignment and loaded the new company structure's BU in there for reporting purposes. Since we cannot report on Assignment DFF's in the Trending SA, our executive leadership does not have full visibility of the BU's they are responsible for from a historical/trending perspective.
