OTBI Spend Analysis - how to link dashboard prompt to graph prompt

Hi All,

I am new to OTBI and am trying to create a dashboard to allow users to analyse spend by product category. My business has set up a hierarchy with 2 levels.

The report needs to be able to be run for any department (which we are using the cost centre field for).

On the two graphs, the only way i can display results by department is to put the cost centre description field as a graph prompt, however i would like the user to be able to run the report via the dashboard filter, then what they select for cost centre description also populates the graph prompt - if that makes sense? Is this possible?

I previously had cost centre description as excluded on both graphs, but when i searched by cost centre nothing populated...any ideas?

Thanks!

    Hi CarolineH ,

Thank you for posting about linking dashboard prompt and graph prompt.

You need to make sure the same prompt field in the analysis as a filter with operator "is prompt. This is described in the documentation.
