Catalog objects not visible while creating Data model using Oracle BI analysis

Summary
Catalog objects not visible while creating Data model using Oracle BI analysis
Content
Hello,
I was trying to create a data model in 12c BI publisher using Oracle BI analysis. This is the first thing we ever tried on BI publisher. I checked Data source and was able to connect to obiee server. But when I try to browse to the report in below screen it does not show any folders.
Is there some step Iam missing here for the folders to show up. I am logged in as Admin user. When searched in logs below is the error I see
2017-11-01T16:58:14.304-05:00] [bi_server1] [WARNING] [] [oracle.xdo] [tid: 128] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: 52a5548f-ff98-407f-94c2-42418dadedfc-00030123,0] [APP: bipublisher] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] User (obadmin) with session id: thogl9m65bs1vkglq2ugoi0tpuv1a1g3carj552o4genns4n is looking for object in biee path: /users/obadmin/_temp/6bb3bc21-eeaf-44e8-9561-5c2b28bf592f.xdm/_datamodel.xdm[[
Object Error [Context: 1, code: U9KP7Q94, message: Path not found (/users/obiadmin/_temp/6bb3bc21-eeaf-44e8-9561-5c2b28bf592f.xdm)]
Object found [path: /users/obiadmin/_temp, type: 0]
When searched oracle support found this doc
But I cannot change this as there is no edit in 12c
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Vineela

Are you creating bip data model from analysis URL or from xmlpserver ? I mean are logging from analysis or xmlpserver? Try to change web browser .

Vineela,
You will not be able to change the catalog type "BIP 12c introduced the change that the catalog type is hard coded depending upon the products installed: if BIP is integrated with OBIEE, then the catalog will be set to "Oracle BIEE Catalog", if BIP is standalone, the catalog will be "Oracle BI Publisher- File System".
This is the intended functionality. In 12c configurations that can break the product were removed, so the change was done to avoid issues due to mis-configurations.
Unable To Configure Catalog Type In BI Publisher 12c (Doc ID 2190158.1)
Coming to your issues did you try a different version, as I have the same 12c version and was able to create a datamodel from the Analysis .. but when searched for the analysis it was little slow.
for testing can you try to create a DM using SQL , just to make sure this user has the ability ?

We have this issue now too. When you attempt to select an analysis model you cant even navigate to select one, i have tried both through the navigation and by providing the path with no luck. I was able to create one. then when i tried a second i get this issue.
I deleted the first one and now I'm not able to create any at all.

You better start a new question where you expose your issue (and provide product names and versions). This is an almost 6 years old abandoned thread.
Also, look at the categories and pick the best matching one (there is one for Publisher).
