What controls the 'Delete' & 'Rename' Abilities in the BI Catalog Task section for a custom folder.
Hello All,
What controls the 'Delete' & 'Rename' show in picture? We have a specific folder that we wish to lock these down, but the user also has BI Admin role. I included current permissions to the folder in question.
Thanks,
Karl

Hi,
The delete has its own "delete" permission, the rename needs the "write" (and I believe maybe also "delete") permission.
Also, permissions are cumulated across all the permissions the user has (directly or through the inheritance of application roles) and the more permissive win: if a role says "read" and nother "read"+"write", the user will have "read"+"write".
The only one that is stronger than everything else is "no access": that's a full stop and doesn't matter if any other role say full control, the user is out.
Isn't your user member of "<something> Control Report Admin" (directly or indirectly)? Because that would explain the user still has full control.
And also, the user isn't the owner of the folder, right? The ownership grants some special powers.
