Full load in OBIA

Hi Everyone,
I have a simple scenario of executing a full load in our OBIA system. Our system has been in use for more than a year now and full load has been done many other times also, apart from the initial full load. The query from me is : do I need to run a domain load before the main data load each time a warehouse full load is done? Or is it okay to just do a 'Reset warehouse scenario' from BIACM. The BIAPPS version used is 11.1.1.9.2.
Thanks
Jay

You definitely do not need to do a domain load first. We do full loads all the time while we work out our ETLs.

Hi Jay,
OBIA load plan contains ETL tasks which loads domain tables. This is to refresh/update the domain tables which are need to load data in dimension tables.
However it is always advisable to execute domain load plan once before you do a full load so that all your domain tables are up to date.

If you do that, won't it overwrite your custom mappings? I thought a domain load went to the source system to get the initial mappings, which you then customize.

It not mandatory to do domain load every time you do a full load. Specially if you have customized the domain related ETL Mappings. In this case, you can go ahead and run the ETL Load plan for Full load.
