Use XLSX file types as layouts in BI Publisher?

Is there a plan to allow us to upload XLSX template files in BI Publisher in a future release? My company is forcing read-only mode on all XLS files as a new workstation security measure which affects many of our existing reports and forcing us to pivot to other layouts and methods.

I'm not aware of any plan to support XLSX template files in BI/Analytics Publisher.

I suggest to submit your idea to Oracle (it will be voted by users, reviewed by the product management, and eventually implemented as a feature): https://community.oracle.com/products/oracleanalytics/categories/idealab-oracle-analytics-cloud-server
