Freeze data in a dataset/workbook
We have relatively complex dataset models with multiple tables and joins which feed in comprehensive workbooks.
We have a use case which is key for our customers which is that we would like at the end of a reporting cycle freeze these datasets or run the dataset through a dataflow to a data storage so that the workbook can continue being used on a frozen set of data. This provides strong benefits for customers who must be able to go back to the data used for reports to justify and explain in case of inspections.
We have tried this using a dataflow moving our multi table dataset to a file storage (one flat table) and were not able to then make the workbook work with the file storage. Is this a functionality which is supported by OAS/OAC?

As per the User Assistance Guides:
You can save the output data from a data flow in either a dataset or in one of the supported database types.
That is 'dataset storage' or 'database connection'.
Note: There is a quota for dataset storage in OAC.
