Global Date format in OBIEE 12c

Hi All,
I'm facing a weird issue with one of the date column on the dashboard prompt. I have repository variable which is being used to show a default selection.
So, the problem is that format of the date column in the report is 'DD-MM-YYYY' but when I choose any date from the prompt, the format is selected like this 'MM/DD/YYYY'.
Also, I have set the NLS_DATE_FORMAT = 'DD-MM-YYYY' on the connection pool as well.
Gurus.. Is there anything that I'm missing here? Please let me know.
Thanks,
Sai Kumar

You can set the default display format in the column properties (when you are creating an analysis with that column in it).
It can be set for the column itself or for all columns with the same datatype.
I think your prompt values will be show in the correct format, but I didn't test it myself so not sure.
As an alternative have a look at: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=343936076961993

I was able to identify the issue. I had to change the localedefinitions, xml config file and change the date format there.

Hi @User_27DEY ,
This is a 6 years old thread, not sure it will really take you anywhere.
Post a new question providing your context (product name, exact version), what you are trying to do, what you did so far, what was the result etc.

thanks Gianni Ceresa, it is OBIEE12.2.1.4, basically we try to change the date format to DD-MMM-YYYY globally from the backend (not front end). can you please let me know how to do it to make it work? thanks,

As Gianni stated: If you have a question please open a new thread. This thread here is old and it's not yours so you can't manage it in terms of responses etc. Please move your question over to a new thread and clearly and concisely state your issue since it will be a stand-alone thread that other forum users will also want to benefit from.
