Not able to modify or interact with Snapshot either manually or programmatic way

Currently it is not possible to modify or interact with snapshots either manually or in a programmatic way in order to affect environment-specific, changes, configurations, connection (Data or Console or System/RDG), parameter adjustments.

For example

it is not possible to adjust connections to a target environment for deployment. Likewise it is not possible to adjust variables to a target environment for deployment.
Current snapshot import utility overrides the console connection in target environment as per source snapshot, but we should have the option during import for optional console connection feature. If we would like to override the target console connection, we can check the checkbox otherwise we can de-select the checkbox.

Currently, there is a way to download a snapshot to a local computer and then expand it into readable files.

This is the only Interaction with a snapshot that i have done. "READ ONLY".

I do not know of a way to modify the expanded files and re-compress them into a *.bar file that can be uploaded. I have only been able to do cross references and searches using the expanded files. So, this does NOT cover 100% what you are asking for. but opening the bar file and reading through is achievable. Just a comment.
