Hello,

I installed OracleAnalyticsPublisherDesktop-7.0.0-win64 as BI publisher Desktop doesn't work with 64bit Office 365. I see Publisher add in on excel but I do not see it for Word, instead it has the old Add-Ins which doesn't work. Any help to resolve the issue will be greatly appreciated.

Please suggest.

Thanks

Lalitha

    Hi @Lalitha Subramanian

Can you try Install 32bit desktop version and see are you able to see the icons - plugin's?

    Hello Arjun,

    Thanks for your quick response.

We are using BIP Oracle BI Publisher Desktop 10.1.3.4.2 32 bit(which is supported for E-Business 12.2) Office on Windows works. But whenever desktop pushes an update, it updates Office 365 64 bit and this addin doesn't work. So they have to install 32 bit for new developers.

So we are trying to install OAP 7 thinking it would work for it. And you are suggesting to install 32 bit. Do you think it would work? why the publisher shows for excel?

    Thanks

    Lalitha

    Hi @Lalitha Subramanian

Most of the cases its an version mismatch between office vs bip (64 bit vs 32 bit vice versa). If you able to see link in excel then check your plugin's in word.

Also I noticed this is missing for Word. Not sure Word has to has Word Add-ins specified.

    Hello Arjun,

Yes. Plugin is the issue. Not sure how to get it fixed. Have compared the options between Excel vs Word which will be different, but no changes has been made office after new install.

I don't think it is a version mismatch because both are 64 bit.

    Thanks
