Hi Team,
I am not able to view the permissions on shared folders for BI Administrator user. The option is greyed out.
I believe BIAdministrator should be able to view all the permissions.
Please explain the expected behavior
OBIEE Version: 12.1.1.4
Thank you, much appreciated.
@User_DTFOB I've got a question, Maybe because this post is almost 4 years old, but when the permissions option for the shared folder was greyed out, couldn't you go to properties of the shared folder and then set ownership of the folder as the weblogic user (this would certainly ungrey the permissions option for the weblogic user) instead of catalog manager or wasn't this a feature back then? Or is the solution i provided not the right procedure into solving the issue your were having?
The "owner" was already having that special feature of bypassing some security.
But sometime that's not what you want: folders have owners that should stay owners. And when the catalog was still on disk (before OAS), it was very easy to just set the needed permissions with catalog manager (GUI or command line) in offline mode. Without changing anything else in the catalog, like ownership etc.
