Dear All,

The Incremental  ETL load was running in production perfectly fine from past few months. Suddenly from past 2-3 weeks i am facing sudden failure of ETL jobs with error Database Driver Error...,

And once i restart the load from DAC the job runs successfully.

I checked with the network team and DBA and they didn't found any logs.

I checked the logs in Informatica Admin console. Please find attached herewith.

Hope to get some pointers to resolve this issue.

Regards,

Tarang Jain

The connection seen to break or get terminated between your repository server and the database. Check the network, the availability of the database server and if there's for example a firewall blocking issue on one of the machines involved. Just some things off the top of my head since the forums here contain several hundred posts just on the ORA-03135 issue itself: https://www.google.com/search?q=ORA-03135+site:community.oracle.com

    Hi Cristian,

    Thanks for your reply.

I checked with network team and we have firewall settings enabled, however the firewall termination rule is set to 6 hours. So i am not sure now whether firewall is causing this issue.

    any other thoughts.

Yes: TEST this. Empirically rather than just "It's 6h it might not be this".

    Hi Chris,

NO luck as of now, still the ETL is failing and restart execution plan works successfully. Checked with the network team they dont have any observations , network is perfectly fine. Also checked with DBA , he also didn't find any alert logs in DB.

Please provide some pointer which can help me to debug this issue.

You mentioned Firewall settings but didn't test those? Or is that what you say your network team tested?

    Hi Chris,

Network team tested and said that they didn't find any packet loss in network.

With the information at hand I can't tell you much more than what I said before. You have to find the blocking issue. Problems like that can't materialize out of thing air. Something must have happened or has been changed.
