Hey Folks - long time lurker, first time'ish poster.

Currently running OAS SPB 6.4.0.0.230715 Patch 35607281 -

Do you recommend going to Patch 36823847 - 7.6 directly (OAS 2024) or making a stop along the way of Patch 36823859 - OAS 7.0 then going to 7.6?

I'm having a difficult time finding this answer within the documentation and upgrade path(s).

@Tim_Ouimet - When you are currently on OAS 6.4.x, just applying the patch will not bring you to newer version. In-place upgrade needs to be done to reach to OAS 7.6.

Kindly refer below document for details on the same:

    https://docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/bi/analytics-server/migrate-upgrade-oas/upgrading-latest-release-oracle-analytics-server.html

You can apply the below patch:

    Patch 36174509

OAS Bundle Patch 6.4.0.0.240110, or later

  • @Tim_Ouimet , in addition to following the documented workflow for in-place upgrade, or out-of-place migration that was posted, this MOS document may be helpful to you.

Note: We do only post the current version documentation, but if you need the documentation for an older version, then you have to create a service request to have the archived documentation attached to the SR.

Thank you - it's infuriating trying to find the right path with this documentation. My biggest complaint about this software.
